Will you mind sharing was an EU or Non-EU application and when you applied?

Received e-vetting invitation form today. A little confused about if they require a copy of passport or other ID documentation to be sent back with this? Letter doesnt mention it but the guidelines included state "all applicants will be required to provide documents to validate their identity. "

I'm also confused as to which address this form should be sent and is it worth doing so by recorded delivery?

Can anybody help clarify? Thanks so much
Dear sir/ madam
I did my e vetting last month and it's completed
In the letter that you received with the form it indicates the address to which you should sent cmu4 department of justice rosanna road tipperary E34 N566
You should send copy of your passport as well
Good luck if anything else I can help ask me
Could you please tell me when you applied for citizenship?
I just received the garda vetting information form today, as well as a request to send in "original in-date passport". Did your letter request the same, but the copy you sent was accepted? I'm tempted to just send my original again, even though they had it back in 2020 with my initial application...especially if it means I am nearing the end of this process.
Mine was a non-EU application based on residency. I sent my initial application in late October 2020, and got my passport back, along with acknowledgement and a request for additional info in Feb 2021. Today, 8 Feb 2022, I received the garda-vetting form to complete and send back by post, as well as a request for my original in-date passport. I'm going to send both tomorrow by registered post, and hope for the best!

I'm also going to include a short explanation for my trips abroad in case they are reviewing my passport pages. I was gone 30 days since my application was initially sent in, 23 of those days were in my home country. I don't think this should be an issue though - less than 6 weeks over a 15/16 month period.

Dont forget to send it to the attention of the undersigned person who sent you the letter to avoid any delays.

I applied in Nov 2020 and got e-vetting request letter about a week ago. My wife applied in Dec 2019 and was approved without e-vetting. As far as I know (I was reading about it somewhere), if you applied before May 2021 then you might get e-vetting letter or you might not, it depends on the immigration officer.
Hi Burzum,
Just wondering if you have received an email with the link to complete the e vetting.
I also applied in Nov 2020 and got a letter a week ago but haven't received an email.
I saw on the 2020 citizenship timeline board, people that received their e vetting invitations forms last week have already gotten their links.

Thanks
Hi,

Sorry for the delay with response. The letter via post came first, I have filled in the form and made a copy of my passport (usual copy, not certified copy) and sent it back. In about 7-10 days I have received an email asking to submit online application which I did. Then after 2 weeks I received another email saying:

"The vetting application made in respect of you has been completed and a disclosure has been made to Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS). Applicants should note that a vetting disclosure issues in respect of every vetting application. The reference to ‘disclosure’ does not indicate the outcome of your vetting application, it only indicates that the vetting process has been completed."

that's about all I can say. I applied as EU citizen living here more than 5 years, applied in Nov 2020. I hope it helps.

Hi All,

I received my E-vetting request by post today(original application submitted on 18/12/2020). Do we have to submit a copy of ID card along with the E-vetting form? I could see a sentence "All applicants will be required to provide documents to validate their identity". Can someone please confirm whether you got a similar request?

Thanks in advance

Well technically it is not required and the form should have been more clearer. I had the same question when I got it.

I submitted a copy of by Passport biometrics page just to avoid any drama.

There is no harm to enclose it.

I hope it helps.

Hi there
I applied citizenship sep 2020
Received e vetting form to sign on 10th of February, I send back to them same day. I received email to complete my e vetting online after 2 days. Received my e vetting online with National Vetting Bureau on 14 February . Since then I didn't hear anything .
How long does it take to process e vetting? .

I can see that a lot of people who applied in 2020 are receiving E-Vetting & some others get direct approval.

but what makes me worried is that I did not hear from them any Second letter or E-vetting.

I applied in Oct 2020 (Non-EU) , anyone in the same situation, I don't want to feel lonely :D :D

Mine took 10 business days, the average seems be 2 weeks from the time you complete your online application.

There is no set timeframe one receives the e-vetting links. I know of people who got the link within 1 working day of sending the form.

Personally it took 3 working days after chasing them via email.

Its so random when people get it. But one thing is people eventually get the link from what I have observed.

I did not get any email from Garda then I wrote a letter to them in October. I just got a reply from them is acknowledgement. I sent an email on 1st December with an post tracking no. again I did not hear back from them. On 8th February I sent another email to them but still no reply.
