Student visa and visit visa

Hello ,

My son has a query about holding two visas .My son is from India and he has 10 year multiple entry visit visa to U.K.which he applied in 2017. He is applying for master courses commencing in September 2022 and planning to study on student visa .

When he gets student visa approved , can He still use and travel on his visit visa which is due to expire in 2027 ?

His visit visa will be cancelled as a person cannot hold to different UK visas simultaneously. The student visa will supercede the visit visa.
