German citizenship by declaration.

Post by Maxtare1234 » Mon May 09, 2022 1:10 pm

Hi everyone. First post here.
I've been checking and following the instructions of how I should gather the documents to do it by the new law (August, 2021). I had to do a post in reddit and they said that I'm eligible.
Here's my connection with Germany:
-My great-greatfather was born in 1902 in Germany.
-My great-grandmother was born in 1911 in Danzig/Neufahrwasser.
-Both emigrate from Germany to Argentina in december of 1927.
-They married in 1932 in Argentina.
-My grandmother born in 1933 in Argentina.
-World War 2 is about to start , Therefore the family emigrate from Argentina to Germany in 1939.
-The wars ends and she emigrate in 1947 back to Argentina. And my great-grandfather in 1948.
-She marries a naturalized Argentinean (Grandfather) in 1956.
-Father borns in 1960 in Argentina. (Citizenship by jui solis)
-He marries my Argentinean mother in 1991.
-I born in December of 2000 in Argentina.

The documents that I they tell to gather are:
-either the birth certificates of your great-grandparents or the birth certificate of your great-grandfather and his marriage certificate
-birth certificates of your grandmother, father, you
-marriage certificate of your grandmother
-some official document from Argentina which says that your great-grandfather did not naturalize as an Argentinian citizen before your grandmother was born

Is this documents enough? There's something more I should be aware doing the process?

Did you get the list of documents from the relevant German authority? Bundesverwaltungsamt?
Redditt is an internet forum - have you contacted the German embassy/consulate in Argentina?
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
