Hi
Any one waiting their passport first time
I applied my first passport after my Naturalisation on 29th March 22.
I have got passport updates on 11 April 22 documents received, then again (2nd time)I received passport updates on 29th April that documents received.
Then I noticed on my online portal which is say 'application being processed ' on 4th May 22.after I didn't get any updates.
I don't have any idea that How long to be take to complete this process? and when I am able to receive my passport ?
Please anyone has similar experience please share with here.

Today (May 9, 2022), I finally got through to the chat after a week of trying. The very nice agent informed me that they are waiting for my documents to be uploaded.

Tracker went to dispatched from being processed got my passport today and tracker says card is being printing one day earlier than ETA

ETA 23 05 2022

Managed to get someone today over the phone. Very nice agent. Told me that my application was approved yesterday and that passport will be posted soon.

Fingers crossed and it will be the end of my citizenship process.

Found this page: https://www.passports-office.co.uk/pass ... acking.asp where it states you can contact each of the offices for tracking, but you will need to remember which passport office you sent your application to i guess?

That's for UK passports. For Ireland you would check the tracker on the DFA website.

If you have 2 hrs to spare, take your phone and constantly ring them. You will eventually get through. I am speaking from experience. It took me over 2hrs before I managed to get through.

If you prefer the webchat, you might want to start refreshing the page at 8:59. Went through a couple of time but unfortunately I was at work and couldn't keep up with my phone.

My journey so far:

Frustratingly no update since 25 Feb - and my estimated issue date has passed. Cannot get through by phone or webchat :-( .... and I *really* need a passport at the moment!

Current journey:

At time of application, turnaround time was estimated at 40 working days.

Applied online: 21-Feb-2022
Dublin received documents: 04-Mar-2022
Estimated target date on tracker: 21-Apr-2022
Status changed to “your application is being processed”: 22-Apr-2022

We contacted the passport office early last week and they said the application looks good, no errors, they just haven’t printed it yet. They expedited it as we are supposed to be moving to Ireland in June but said there’s nothing else we can do but wait.

update 20 May - I got through by phone! Has been flagged as overdue and I have pending travel mid-june. Hopefully i'll see some progress in the next week or so !

Looks like they even work on Sunday.

Passport Book dispatched on 22/05/2022 while passport card is been printed.

My citizenship and passport journey end here:-)
