Tier 2 Continuation for ILR

Hi All,

I was on Tier 2 General visa from Sept 18, I recently got a job offer from a company who didnt have company licence to sponsor so I moved to dependant visa of my spouses visa and received the decision letter and BRP last week.

The joining date with the new company is in July and today they have received the licence to sponsor.
If they sponsor me now, will my 5 year tenure still continue or the dependant visa switch has reset it while I am yet to join the new firm

Your ILR clock has reset to zero, so you start again for the qualifying period for ILR as a dependent.

If you then switch back to Skilled Worker visa, your clock resets again.
