IRP application in process:Stamp 4

Hi ,
I have received my stamp 4 support letter on basis of having critical skills work permit (stamp1) for two years.
I have applied for new IRP card online as I live in Dublin.
But given the current processing time and immigration permissions extension is till 31st May.

I am not sure if I am legally allowed to work as current IRP is expired and new is in process?(stamp 1 to stamp 4)

The acknowledgment email of you having applied for renewal is good for you to continue working.

Is there any reference to this on INIS Website
I have mailed immigration support but didn't receive reply yet.

It's difficult now to get their email response, they all probably serving incoming refugees.
This is like a snowball for creating an IRP backlog. The processing time is only increasing.
I request them important things 2 months ago and still didn't get a response as well as any processing move for the IRP.
Last year it took them only a week to sort the same out and another week to get the new IRP.

What reference do you need?
