Recent British Citizen: Getting a Power of Attorney for India

Post by ps1234 » Mon May 23, 2022 8:20 pm

Hi all, have acquired my British citizenship and OCI recently. I now need to get a Power of Attorney for sale of property in India.

Please can someone tell me if the HCI accepts PoA applications by post or will I need to book an appointment at the VFS and go to get my PoA done?

Thanks

Need to book an appointment and go in person with your witnesses.

Thanks - I see there is a provision for postal applications on the website (https://www.hcilondon.gov.in/page/consular-information/) and wondering if this exists no more because it was during COVID times only...? Wrote them an email but as always, no reply

Do you happen to have a PoA template for the purpose of selling a property ?

Many thanks.
