IRP First Time Application as Dependent(Adult) on EU Citizen

Post by Lxndr » Mon May 30, 2022 11:42 am

Hi all!

I want to know how does the procedure of applying for the first time for IRP take place?
Both I and the person I am dependent on are invited to Burgh Quay Registration Office. Is it going to be like an interview? Or simply bring the required documents, submit them and leave.

Thanks in advance.

You will submit documents directly to the immigration officer.
The decision of your registration will be made in front of you.
There could be a few questions regarding registration and provided documents.

So it finally over. I'll leave a note for whoever will have to go through this very same situation. On the final letter(approval) it stated to bring the last letter(with approval) and both passports mine and the person I'm dependent on(in my case my son). The officer asked for all the correspondence that we had with inis and additional proof of the relationship between I and my son(my son's birth certificate).

The moral of the story: bring ALL THE DOCUMENTS that you have and all the correspondence with you just to be safe.
