Received confirmation of payment email "A Citizenship Certificate Fee was processed on 20/05/2022. You will receive a letter from this office in due course regarding the final stage of your Citizenship application."

Is this the same wording as received by others? No mention of June ceremony. I am hoping to receive an invite. I've read the threads from previous years and I note that several people who followed the payment process still didn't get included in the ceremony and had to wait. Really hoping this doesn't happen here.

I feel for the others from 2020 applications who are still waiting for news, it's such a frustrating process with very little transparency.
I got same email. Hope for the best :D
I got this email on 18th May.

I also got a letter from them for refund next day as I made duplicate payment.

@NiallPP and Optimist1234, do let us know please when you receive the invitation letter 🙏🏾
I got invitation letter :D
Nice one, congrats and to all who got invitations.

Nothing yet for me and Niall, hopefully soon😅

Optimist1234, may I know when was the letter dated?

I got the invitation as well, dated 02nd June. For 20th June 10am. My wife and I applied together and got all the communications including the certificate fee payment requests together so far. But, no invitation for her yet!

Not sure now if the invitation letter is missed or something like that happened as it's a regular post and not registered post. Tempted to send them a note.. Not sure if they'd even check the same before the ceremony. Any suggestions? Fingers crossed!!

Finally, congrats. Hoping all goes well with June 20 ceremony, can’t wait for my certificate. Our timeline would be on par more or less after all😃

Congrats! How long did it take for the certificate to arrive after your payment was processed?

It took 9 weeks but that was due to a query on the first declaration of fidelity. I got that after 5 weeks and returned a second declaration. Then the cert arrived four weeks later.

I would said that since they are sending certificates from people that send the payment and the declaration around mid April. Probably will be around 2 more weeks before they send invitations. Hopefully sooner.
Are there people who've paid and sent signed declarations in April and still waiting for the certificate to arrive ? I've paid in Mid April/ payment processed Mid May but havent heard anything since.

Yeah still waiting for certificate paid fee and declaration sent 22nd April . First email received 25th of April , second email received 1st of June, until today no sign of certificate , it's near 9 weeks now waiting. Very frustrating to be honest.

Paid end of April. First email confirming payment was "submitted" the next day. Second email confirming processing was "complete on 9 June. Nothing since then.

It seems like they are focusing on the invites for the 20th June ceremony and that means putting the last batch of applicants who sent declaration by post on the back burner for now. It almost feels like we got caught up in the transition window while they switched from Mailed declarations to ceremony. Hopefully they won't forget about us 🤐

Yeah. It's absolutely ridiculous. Wife applied in Sept 2020 and here we are almost 2 YEARS later. If this was a regular business, it would go bust. Terrible. Then they take 950 out of my bank almost 2 months ago and nothing. We should have got the cert by now.

Again. If I purchased something 2 months ago and it wasn't delivered in a reasonable time, I'd be getting my money back and going somewhere else. They have to over a barrel with this. NOTHING can be done. Nowhere else to go.

I have no idea what is going on with the back end of all this, but the whole management of passports, visas etc is terrible. No communications or anything. It almost feels like a scam you can't do anything about.

(rant over for a while   :D ).

Just to make you feel a little better about your situation, my husband and I also applied in Sept 2020 and we are still at the evetting stage... our evetting result was read by the citizenship team 2 months ago and we are still here waiting for the approval. Funny thing is that our lawyer told us we were supposed to be straight forward cases. I contacted the citizenship division twice via email but they don't answer. I kinda have the feeling that they are regularly changing the way they work to try and catch up with their backlog but they end up doing worse, at least for us... I don't know, at this point I'm just hoping we will be at least included in the December ceremony. Sorry for the rant but at the same time I'm thinking out loud to understand what they are doing :(

For the applicants of September 2020, have you tried sending FOI request to see their progress? Or ask solicitor to send a letter threatening with going JR route? They will ignore you otherwise.

That would be a good idea, but again it's MORE time. 6 weeks ago they said the next communication would be the cert. Now, nothing. Doing a FOI and getting letters sent is just more time and money. Really this is a simple thing made complicated by typical bureaucracy I have seen through this whole process

I do agree, FOI is free, there is instructions on other threads (check sticky posts) and request files as email. They should respond you in a month. There is no guarantee that someone is looking at your case right now but when you request FOI someone will have to look at it.

Sending a letter via solicitor for JR way will cost money thou, so just push for FOI.

Hi guys, after two months from my completed evetting I finally received the letter with the instructions to pay the 950 euro fee and also the oath of fidelity form to receive the certificate at home. This means the oath of fidelity is not cancelled yet, but who knows for how long it will be an option. Hopefully for a few more months so people don't have to wait until December for their certificates!

Hi! There was no date in the letter but it was sent on Friday and they gave me 4 weeks to pay. I'm not the only one btw, I saw other people in the forum who received the same so I assume the form is still being sent for some time

Guys which CMU does sign approval letter? I have been on CMU 5 after vetting for 3 months? This is frustrating and depressing,,, No transparency in processing.
