India tourist visa - wrong name input

Hi All

Applied for tourist visa and got the appointment for a few days time

I realised I did not include my middle name in the application, Passport of course does show middle name.

Can this be rectified? or HCI will take the name from the Passport I will submit regardless?

Don't worry about it too much. They will take your name from the passport.

But for future applications, make sure you always enter your name as on the passport to avoid surprises.

I asked the same to HCI and they said to create a new form with correct details and submit on the appointment day. Will do that too but probably just ask the agent if they can amend name first on arrival.

question 2: I put 5 years as tourist visa, is there any processing time difference between this one and the 1 year validity option? Do you think i can change this at point of appointment?
