I did my e-vetting online in last week of March 2022, Disclosure made in first week of April 2022, I received citizenship approval on 20 June 2022. So from e-vetting to approval makes total of approximately 3 months.

Anyone from Oct 2020 who did not receive the E-vetting yet?

I have asked this before a few months ago, I want to see If my application has been forgotten or if I am not the only one without E-Vetting.

I have received an email from Garda to complete my e-vetting application. I am surprised, I only received invitation to it last Friday and post it back same day and they only received it today and already processed. I hope things move in quickly now, I think I am the only person from 2019 awaiting reply.

@Adri2019,,, I am in the same boat as you I applied in 2018, I got second e-vetting letter in December 2021 stating that the minister has requested an upto date vetting, I got link in Jan and viewed in February since then no news.... How many times have you gotten vetting since you applied. This is really frustrating.

Hi! This is the first time I get it. I have emailed the citizenship email since December and every time I asked for an update they said my case was being reviewed, last week they said my application was disregard since they did not receive my e-vetting on January when requested. Very strange, I didn’t change my address whatsoever. I’ve sent a complaint and asked for the “missed letter” to be reissued and they did which was the letter invitation for e-vetting. I have no idea how long it would take to get an update from them. Let’s see! I am so frustrated, I’ve seen friends of mine getting their citizenship when their application was submitted long time after myself. I don’t really understand how they work.

The last time I asked for an update, they said there is no ongoing request or anything to do from my side & my application continues to be processed.
That was on May 2022.

I don`t know if it is worth going to a solicitor and starting a legal process at this stage as I received nothing from them since the acknowledgement letter. except for some replies to my emails with genric responses always. (application continues to be processed)

Just so we have a PDF blank copy of an e-Vetting request here and people can find it if needed (not sure how long they'll use the current version, but it hasn't been changed in a year):

I had the same issue and I contacted them on Twitter and this was their response:
Hi there, thank you for getting in touch! According to our system this item was delivered this morning. As this item was sent to an address that would receive a number of registered mail items every day each item cannot be signed for and scanned individually on delivery. The items requiring signatures are added to a delivery bill that is signed for on delivery. This delivery bill with the signature will be uploaded and available on our site in the coming days.
So I wouldn't worry but you can contact them on social media if you're too concerned. Also this is the form in case you need it:

thanks again @sisenor!

I think its worth going to a solicitor at this stage,,,, I need to arrange all my salary to a solicitor in July to assist me...This is a beat torture and a way of wickedness. NO transparency.

Do you know or anyone here in this form know if I can start the legal process before the 2 years mark or if I must wait until I pass the 2 years day?

You don't start the process directly, first you sent them a letter saying either decide or you will go to JR route then wait for their answer. Then you can decide to take any legal action or not.

I would start finding/contacting an immigration solicitor now if I were you. Tell them your timeline and they will advise you on what to do and when. They’d only charge you if you agree to their proposal. Mine costed me 250€ but definitely worth it as I now know when roughly a decision will be made.

Hope you don’t have to wait much longer!

I'd love to share @irishboy but I believe it's not allowed to share that in this forum. They're based in Limerick and I found them through google maps. Search for immigration solicitor and email everyone with a summary about your situation and ask for their advice and fees, and hopefully you'll find someone who is as reasonably priced :D

*can't edit this post anymore

Also, I'm not really based in Limerick and my communication with my solicitor has been through emails/phone so far. A scanner & printer are necessary though to be able to sign documents and send them over.

Hi! After completing evetting form online, how long did it take to get your application completed? It has been a week for me and nothing, still being reviewed by the Garda. Thanks

Hi Andrew! Same here, my friend who applied at later stage already got passport. I don’t really know how they work. Let’s keep positive
