Child born in India to British Father and Indian Mother (ILR)

Post by ngreddy » Tue Jun 28, 2022 7:05 pm

Hi all,

Case:
The child was born in India (mother conceived and stayed in the UK until the 7th month), Father (me) is British via Naturalization and Mother is Indian (current visa status ILR), applying for RoA-CoE.
I am in the process of submitting the documents and going for a VFS biometrics appointment, so I need some guidance, please.

As per my understanding below are the compulsory documents
1. Consent letter from parents
2. Baby's- Indian passport
3. Baby's- Birth certificate from local authority
4. Doctor's letter or TB certificate for baby
5. Father's Naturalization certificate and passport
6. Mother's passport and ILR card
7. Parent's marriage certificate

I need some guidance on the below points please:

1. I have a scanned copy of my naturalization letter - do I need to produce the original document at VFS?
2. Do we have to produce a birth certificate or 10th class certificate for the mother?
3. Do we have to produce address proof or cohabitation in the UK?
4. Do we have to produce payslips, employee letters or bank statements?
5. As the baby is conceived in the UK do we need to produce any letter from the NHS or hospital?
6. Any recent similar sort application with a timeline will really help us

Thank you in advance for your time.
