PBS Extension Visa -Delay

Post by Chris03 » Sat Jun 25, 2022 10:36 am

Hi,

Hopefully someone here can give me some advise. My partner applied and has since gotten his ILR (under the 5 year residency route ). Since at the time I was only a U.K. resident for 4 years 2 months , I had to apply for an extension of my PBS Dependent visa.

My application was submitted on April 10 and my biometrics UKVAS appointment was on the 16th. I also received a confirmation email the day after that my documents were submitted successfully.

8 weeks have gone since my application and I gave not received an update on my application. It is now 10 weeks and still nothing. I have tried to call several times and I can not seem to get through to anyone. I also sent several complaint emails and still nothing

I am due to fly out for my honeymoon in mid September and I therefore need to book my travel no later than the end of July. Can someone tell me they have experienced similar delays and the best route I can take to actually get a progress update on my application?

Thanks all.

Still no response, my wife employer NHS has contacted homeoffice about her work rights they said her visa extended till Dec 2022. Bit confusing email from NHS, but no response from home office to us.

Your wife's employer probably requested a right to work check from the HO and received a positive response which is valid for 6 months, i.e. she is allowed to work for 6 months from the date of the response. This is a temporary measure and not the same as the extension of her visa, her application is awaiting a decision.

Mine is 10 weeks now and no decision yet. In this scenario, what's the approach.
we can't speed up the process right ? the only way is either wait or withdraw and apply again with super priority.

Some people who went that route were still delayed. This is getting ridiculous now.

Same is my situation. My wife applied for her ILR using priority service and got decision after 7 days of submitting Biometrics.

Unfortunately, for me, there was no option to apply for priority service as I applied using UKVI ID check app.

Spous visa extension is on a mess now it seems.

I have applied for a child dependent visa for UK born child on 15th May and till now there is no update. It's 8 weeks now. Looking at this discussion it seems there is no hope of receiving the Visa anytime soon ☹️

Giving everyone of you some hope. I finally got my visa approved today morning. Dependant visa extension when the main applicant got ILR.

Submitted on 1st of June 2022, Standard service, used UKVI ID check app.

Wishing everyone of you all the best.

And thanks for the mods who helped me out.

Thanks mate. Wish you too all the best.

I really need to travel back to my home country on Jul 26, it was a great relief for me. Paid £2,100 as flight tickets. So, yeah. Was a fantastic day for me!

How is it that you applied two months after I did and got your response? This is absolutely ridiculous.

I am in to my 7th week now and have not heard anything back yet. No request or any evidence, no acknowledgement, nothing.

I saw a post from someone who applied on 1 June and has got a confirmation on 11 July, while some of us who applied in May are still waiting. Making me anxious now.

(I applied for visa update on 27 May, as I was offered a new job with a new employer).

@John: I see you applied for healthcare dependent visa extension. Was you or your partner in healthcare? My wife work for NHS , and I was previously on tier 2 skilled visa, I applied for general skilled worker dependent visa, as tier 2 visa is obsolete now. Just wondering if I had to opt for healthcare visa extension?

Yes, you will need to apply through
This link https://www.gov.uk/health-care-wor ... -children

I guess the form is the same. On the go, just put 'yes' when the ask you the question 'Has your partner been informed by their employer that they are eligible for healthcare worker visa?'

Same goes to me.
biometric was 23 May (standard)
I emailed UKVI for application status thrice, they replied me “ visa is awaiting a decision” every single time.

So frustrating with the waiting times :x
