Hi! I think CMU is the group dealing with your application.
My friend got approval letter from CMU 2. I don’t know if that is much of a help.

I am also awaiting since 2019. Hope you get your decision letter soon.

Applied april 2021.
No garda vetting received yet just an acknowledgement back then.

Current processing times are now 23 months.

Fyi: non-eu applied on the basis of 5 yrs residency in the state, also permission still valid for the next 10 years. Not sure whats taking so long for application as mine is pretty straightforward.

Don't worry, bro. My application was sent in on May 2020, and my E vetting disclosure was on 29th April 2022, until now, I still not getting any letter from the Dept of Justice yet. God only knows.

Unfortunately, it all depends on the person who is assessing your application - some of them are fast and some are just slow- what’s the initial (first alphabet) of the first name of person whose name mentioned on the acknowledgement letter? It might the same as my sister’s application case worker

I am CMU2 as well. My vetting was disclosed last Friday. Let’s see how long it would take to get a final decision. I’ve been waiting for 3 years now.

Any Idea on how long it takes between the E-Vetting Permission Letter & the email.

I submitted the letter on the 1st of July, and no email yet.

I posted my permission letter on July 8 and got the email today. Wasn't expecting it so soon as seen others taking much longer.

Currently there have not been any approvals .
INIS has gone silent since the ceremony.

I think they will start giving approvals again in November for the dec ceremony.

I'm not sure that would make sense to clear their backlog though. Also there are a few people in here saying they got their approval this month. I'm sure because I asked them if they received the oath of fidelity form within the approval letter and they confirmed they haven't. The letter mentioned the December ceremony.

Have my E-vetting disclosure viewed today. I'm really hoping the approval will come quickly. I hadn't heard anything from them since March 2021 then all of a sudden things are moving fast. Hope it will keep up this way. Looks like evetting is taking 9-10 working days to be completed.

Here's my timeline for background

Application Based On: Spouse of Irish national
Applied by registered post on: Nov 2020
Acknowledgment and return of passport: March 2021.
They also requested some additional information like husband's passport, letter from GP and additional proof of address.

Second stage letter and E-vetting permission letter: 07 July 2022
E-vetting application e-mail: 12 July 2022.
E-vetting application completed & disclosure viewed: 27 July 2022
Approval: pending
