How long does a COS take to be issued?

Home office says 1 working day, is this generally accurate? Can anyone share experiences, thank you.

If the sponsor has an allocation to assign, it take long at all.

Also depends if it is a defined cos or an undefined cos.

If they don't have any left in their allocation and applied for more, it takes up 12 weeks if they haven't applied or made the daily limited cap application and paid for priority.

If it is undefined cos it is faster or longer? Thank you.

It depends if they have a cos available in their allocation. If they don't, they have to apply for their allocation and standard service is about 18 weeks.
