Hey guys I have applied for Tier 1

My case

WP --> Tier 1

Earnings.
6 months UK
6 months India

Documents sent on 8th Nov 2008
Document recieved on 10th Nov 2008
Fees debited on 11th Nov 2008

Now I think all I got to do is wait... will keep you guys updated.

Any idea whats the next step i know its too early but just curious....

Memebers,

My time line is :

applied on 7th october,2008 through VFS PUNE
Integra checks come in my office around 12th November

awaiting desperately for reply. more than a month passed. I called bombay high commission, and she replied that they have shifted the premises so it got delayed by 8-10 days.

please suggest if I need to call anywhere to get more information about my application progress.

EC applied on 21st OCT, 2008.
Applied from : VFS, HYD.
Integra : No idea
BHC status : 10th NOV --> in receipt of integra reports
12th NOV ---> status unchanged "don't know what it means"
Result : waiting..

Just called up HO for knowing the progress on my application. But HO didn't give me any status, instead said that i'll get a response once case worker has taken a decision. Lady at the other end didn't evev ask for refernce number.

Has anyone experienced the same response?

Dear All,

I have applied for Entry Clearance after getting HSMP approval letter. I had got HSMP approval letter dated 23rd April and I applied for Entry Clearance at VFS Ahmedabad at 14th Oct 2008. (It was painful to wait for 3 months to maintain a balance).

Now can someone tell me how much time does it generally take to process applications with HSMP approval letter? It has already been a month and whenever I go to VFS site to check for application status, it just says that application has been forwarded to British High Comission. Nothing else has been updated after that. Would I see any updates or would they just process the application and say that it has been couriered to me? Also is there any other way I can check status of my application? I have been reading that people are calling HO... Can I call HO for my application and if yes, what is the number of HO? Also can I apply for urgent treatment now? If yes, how? Please help.

Boy this form is really helpfull.........Just need another advice

I have sent in my Tier1 (general) application and now planning to send "urgent treatment".

Just wanted to know that can i use the fact that "my sister is getting married in end nov, and i wish to attend her marriage". Would this be a compelling reason to ask UT or I just send in a general letter like others have done saying "due to some family circumstances".

Really want to be with my sis on her wedding

Timelines;
Application posted 27th Oct *( switching student to Tier1 )
Acknowlwdgement letter received 29th Oct
Called HO .......... 14th Nov (reply: still in queue not with a case worker yet)

Looking forward for quick advice

Attending sis marriage is not a compelling reason for UT.
Here are few urgent reasons I can think of:
- Delivery due date
- Someone seriously sick and you want to visit them
- Your employer wants to send you abroad urgently for an important work

Just called up HO to know status of my application. Even after their automated system say T-1 applicants can know the status if applied before 6 weeks, they denied giving any status. Also it was mentioned that they only provide status if 14 weeks have passed since applied.

I applied on 4th of September. Yes, I called new Immigration Inquiry bureau cause I guess that's the only contact we can use now or am I wrong?

Hi,
I'm currently in UK on PSW and thinking to apply for T1 General. I have some doubts. Can someone kindly resolve them please.

1 > I was a fulltime student in UK since Dec 2006 till March 2008. I have worked fulltime before my studies. For my previous earnings can i show the payslips before Dec 2006?

2 > For Maintenance requirement can I show the funds from a bank outside the UK. As I have enough funds in my home account?

3> For English Language Requirement - As I hold a UK masters, is that sufficient?

Hi all,
I have applied for Tier1 from VFS chennai today.the people were OK and they are insisting on residence proof in UK and educational certificates from 10th onwards(dont know why).So guys be prepared for that also.

Status changed to "Processed Application Dispatched" on 18th Nov 2008
Received the Passport on 20th Nov 2008.

Tier 1(General) Visa approved for 3 years from 5th Jan 2009.
