Great news Ami,

I see my payment application status on portal is still submitted, is there any one else who got approval around 20th June and submitted payment/declaration within week and waiting for payment status on portal to be completed ?

Could you please update once your payment is processed and received cert?

it’s such a good news and gives hope to everyone that current process of certificate by post is still there, huge relief and kudos to dept.

Hi! There was no date in the letter but it was sent on Friday and they gave me 4 weeks to pay. I'm not the only one btw, I saw other people in the forum who received the same so I assume the form is still being sent for some time
I received approval on 20 June (letter dated 17 June) and was requested to submit a signed declaration to receive certificate via post (looks like there are doing a mix of ceremonies and statutory declarations depending on timelines at the moment). Sad not to be able to attend a ceremony but also relieved I don't have to wait until December for my certificate!

I got same too, same date as yours on the approval letter, and attached with Fidelity. Fees paid and Fidelity forms sent back. Not sure how long it will take to receive the certificate?
My payment just got processed. I'll update you when I receive the cert

Hello everyone.
Just received my approval yesterday and I paid 950, uploaded the biometric page of passport and garda card. I have been told to wait till I get invitation for ceremony scheduled on 5th and 6th December.
As I have my gnib with me , I planned the holidays from 18 August till 24 September.
I am just wondering that when do they ask for gnib card as I will be back on 24th of September and then i m ok even if I have to send it back but as you all who had ceremony in June, when did theyvreturn their gnib.
Your suggestion are much appreciated.
Regards

Hi Zaza,

Do you have to go to the December ceremony? Just asking to understand if they stopped sending the oath of fidelity form because my husband hasn't received his approval yet

Thanks for your answer ZA2020. I guess that's the procedure from now on which I don't understand tbh. The form was a way to catch up with their huge backlog. Not to mention COVID cases are going up and the citizenship division are going to find themselves either forcing people to go to a ceremony where they can catch COVID or doubling their workload by sending the oaths of fidelity forms later on because they need to cancel the ceremonies. Sorry about the rant guys!

Just s question, I'm a bit confused with yous saying "my payment was just processed". I paid mine in June 24th and it went thru straight away (it was a Friday, so it went out of my account on the following Monday, 27th), 5-10 minutes later I got an email with the following message:

"We have received your Citizenship Certificate Fee of € 950 which was submitted online on 24/06/2022."

+ Acknowledgment number

What's next? Certificate or will they still update me with my payment?

Thanks

Hi, when you pay the first notification you receive is that the payment has been submitted. Then you receive another email at a later stage (can be 2 to 3 weeks but for some people longer) that says that the fee was processed. If you received the oath of fidelity form within the approval letter you will receive your certificate at home, otherwise you will be invited to the December ceremony

Hi all! I finally received my certificate this morning and applied for passport today. YAY!!!!!! My naturalization journey ends here. It's been so nice chatting with you all. I'm still going to be active though since my husband who applied in September 2020 (same as me) hasn't received his approval yet. Thank you so much for being so helpful!

Hi guys, is there a way to know how many 2020 pending applications are left? Is this data available anywhere? My husband applied in Sept 2020, e-vetting result viewed by citizenship department almost 4 months ago now and he hasn't received his approval yet

Hi all, applied in Aug 2020 with quick acknowledgement after. No communication since then until FOI in June 2022 which shows no progress. Solicitor warning letter sent in early August. Do you know what's next and how long it usually takes to respond to that by the department?

Thanks

Has Anyone received any approval recently? I feel that they are collecting applications that are ready then in one in October they will start to send approvals and invites to the December Ceremony.

I am just trying to build some hopes, anyone agrees or know anyone who got approval since 20/06/22?

Yeah it's been really tiring and frustrating. The deadline/warning giving to them by my solicitor was two weeks ago and still nothing. Might have to go to judicial review after all unfortunately. I really just want any decision at this point. I'm mentally exhausted and really want to move on regardless of the decision.

Sorry about that, hope you get an answer soon without the judicial review route. Has anyone here had any progress after sending letter from solicitor or is it kinda useless?

I am just waiting to hit the 2 years mark in OCT to start the legal process, I can understand your feelings as I am also feeling tired of waiting and hoping for a new post every single day.

It is a life-changing approval for us but it takes a looooong time and there is no real timeframe to hear the decision.

I hope we all will be invited to the next ceremony before any solicitors fees or meetings.

I got my approval on Friday!!! It was emailed to my solicitor at 5 pm as a response to her inquiry a week before and they say the original letter has been posted to my address. I'll be invited to a ceremony but they didn't specify when.

Hope you guys hear good news soon!
