Skilled Worker Visa Delayed Decision (URGENT)

Good day.

I applied for the extension of my skilled worker visa here inside the UK last 9/8/2022. I am a nurse working for the NHS.

The last email I got from the Home Office was a confirmation of evidence sent.

The email also said to wait for a decision.

It's been more or less 3 weeks since I applied for the extension and have not heard anything from the Home Office.

I'm quite worried because my Visa is about to expire this coming 25/9/2022.

I applied for an extension late because the hospital I work for issued the new CoS 2 months late.

Is my Visa still valid if the decision does not arrive by the 25th? Both me and my wife are worried as her Visa is also expiring on the same date as mine and we are both working in the hospital.

Is there any email address or a phone number to call for any updates?

Unfortunately, the most of energy in HO is going to Ukraine and there are lots of applicant for skilled worker like me are still waiting for decision.
I applied from outside the UK and did my biometric on 13th July.
I called several times and sent paid email to HO and just I wasted my money.
I think you can only one thing to do and just wait.

There should not be any problem as long as you apply online before your current leave expires. Your wife also needs to apply before the expiration date on her permit. If you both have the same date, it's reasonable to apply at the same time.

An out of the country application is different, different requirements, etc. OP is applying for a SWV extension.

As an in time application was made, you retain all the rights under the visa till decision is made on new application in process.
If wife's application not made yet, do so before the expiration of current visa.

They told me my application is under progress.
Just on 17th August I received an escalation email from sheffield work route and asked my GWF number because they had a wrong digit in my GWF and I sent them my correct number
I have to be patient and please wait.
So, I am still await.
