There is only one requirement: No continuous absence of more than 180 days in any 365 days period.

Hello @Zimba,

One more (maybe final ques), I applied for ILR and used Priority Service. My UKVCAS biometric was done on 10th Aug 9:00 am. I have not received any notification from UKVI yet. Since it's more than 5 days, would this application be eligible for refund for Priority service. If yes, then how and when should I apply for refund ?

Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks

Ok. One final ques (hopefully), in list of absences I forgot to mention the time between my first T2G application approve date and entry into the UK (around 6 days) but I have mentioned that in cover letter. Would this cause any issue.

Appreciate the help and patience @Zimba

Caseworkers can see that gap in their system. You do not need to mention it

The sleepless night does not make the application go faster, rather takes a toll on you. Come to terms with the delay and carry on as normal as you can.

Hello @Zimba,

I got my atlas notification on successful application. Thank you for all the help here.

One last ques, I used priority service and I didn't received any notification about application being late/complex etc.

Should I apply for a refund for the priority fee. If yes, then how should I do it or will it get automatically processed by UKVI ?

Thanks

Thanks @Zimba.

One final ques - I received my BRP today and the expiry mentioned on it is 31-12-2024. I think there is a new digital system coming out which will replace BRP's. Is that correct or do I need to do anything on this front ?

As always, thank you for your help.

Hi Zimba. A qq, we have to return my old BRp after gettinh the new one on ILR. Can I submit it directly at Lunar House Croydon instead of sending by Royal Mail ?

Also, now if my wife would need extension on her Dependent Visa (Skilled Worker dependent) , what should be the process ?

As always, thank you all for the help.

Thanks

Hi @Zimba,

I have two questions:

1) I am expecting a child soon. I recently got my ILR(around a month back), but my partner is still on Skilled Worker Dependent Visa. What will be immigration status for my child. The child is going to be born in UK.

2) My partner(on Skilled Worker Dependent Visa) is planning to travel out of UK for some time. Does 180 days or any other rule apply for her when she will apply for ILR.

As always, thank you for your time and efforts here.

Your child will be automatically British. It is advisable to keep the BRP in the future as that will be the only proof of your child having an entitlement to British citizenship.

Thanks for your reply.

It is advisable to keep the BRP in the future as that will be the only proof of your child having an entitlement to British citizenship. -- Do you mean the BRP for ILR ?

Can you also advise on 2nd point ?

Yes, you should keep the ILR BRP as this is the only proof that your child is automatically British.

Your spouse is subject to the 180 days limit in any 12 month rolling period if her most recent visa was issued on or after 11 January 2018. If they stay out of the UK for 180 days or more in any 12 month period, the ILR clock resets to zero.
