Implications of benefits (from pre-settled to settled)

Post by euspouse07 » Mon Nov 14, 2022 1:02 pm

Dear Forum Members

I kindly urge you to share your opinions on the following ;
1) does claiming benefits create any hindrance while switching your status from pre- settled status to settled status .
2) do rules vary from immediate or nuclear family members to the distant/ dependent/ extended family members.
3) are all the benefits attract same kind of attention from the home office while dealing the applications as an example that claiming child benefits or universal credit would be treated same as claiming housing benefits

Sorry for the long post
Plz share your view/ experiences/ opinions

Settled Status is residency based.
There are no financial requirements in terms of earnings, tax, or benefits you are entitled to.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
