Health and Social Care Dependent Visa

Dear All,

I am a nurse that is currently on health and care worker visa. Please I want to apply for a dependent visa for my wife. I haven't been living with her before I moved to the UK and I want to know if it is possible to apply for this visa for her and the requirements I will need.

Also, how to proof we have been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years prior to the application since we haven't been living together till I came to the UK.

Also if there are other requirements I need to provide for the application.

Is she in the uk or still abroad??

If she is in the UK, what visa does she have?

When did you get married?

Unsure why you believe you have to have lived together for 2 years. Where are you reading this requirement?

She is still in abroad. We are still planning to wed but just looking towards it by next year but we are already in a relationship. Just want to know the requirements.

I found the information on living together for at least 2 years from the UKBA health and care worker visa section that was posted online by the UKBA for people to read. Wasn’t sure about this as well but just want to clarify things before we did.

You must be able to prove that either:

you’re in a civil partnership or marriage that’s recognised in the UK
you’ve been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years when you apply

It says EITHER if the two. The 2 uears living together is for UNMARRIED partners. If you apply once married, this 2 year requirement is not relevant to you.
