B1 instead of doing A1

Hello everyone I post before aswell but no one reply my extension is due in may this year homeoffice put me on 10 year route I want to switch from 10 year to 5 year can I do straight b1 test now rather then doing A1 now and after 5 year I do again b1 when I do application for ilr.please reply
I am married and I got visa on my baby base.

You can and should, don't think A1 will even be accepted unless you're exempt (but others can correct me on it).
You may be able to use it again in 5 years as well.

If you pass level B1 or higher, you can use your test result again when you apply for settlement after 5 years. Your test still needs to be on the approved list of qualifications and your test certificate must not have been withdrawn by the test provider.

Thanks for the reply.is homeoffice switch my visa from 10 year route to 5 year route if I done my b1 test I am earning 30000 and my wife 32000 per year

Thanks for the reply yes I am the father of British child.I ask one solicter he told me I have to do A1 for switch my route from 10 years to 5 years.but on Google I read that I can directly do b1 instead of doing A1 first and then after 5 years again spending money on b1 for ilr.I am really confused please help me thanks

Someone confused me again today he said you have to do do A2.I am really confuse that which course I do A1,A2 or b1I am on 10 year family route I want to switch from 10 years to 5 years can I straight do b1 rather then doing A1 now and after 5 years do b1 again for my ilr application.wating for your reply

Yes, you can do B1 and use it for your current application.

If you do so, you will not have to take the test again for next extension/ILR, as you used it in previous application (see post2100760.html#p2100760).
