Do UKVI accepts IELTS general Training for UK Spouse visa application from Pakistan?

Note: IELTS general training is valid at B2 pass level.

Ielts Lifeskills at Level B1 is stated requirement. Some have used IELTS General and got the visa while others tried it and was refused because of wrong English test.
While decision is ultimately yours/applicant to make, would you want to gamble with thousand of pounds for application because of a document costing £150?
