Skilled Worker ILR Application - When to submit the application

Post by Waseem432000 » Thu Jun 08, 2023 2:30 pm

Hi everyone,

a question about the application submission date.

My first visa Tier 2 visa vignette started on 4th August 2018 (I entered on 21st August but reading the other posts, I think I can ignore that date) so 5 years minus 28 days gives me 8th July when I am eligible for the ILR.

I wanted to ask if I can submit my online application, pay fees before 8th July, and book biometrics after 8th July or if the application submission date has been on or after 8th July? If I can submit an early application, can I still pay for the priority service so I can get a decision (hopefully) within 5 days after biometrics?

You can apply early and book the appointment within the 28 days mark: indefinite-leave-to-remain/dependent-el ... l#p2072912

Could you let me know please if this goes well?

I'm also planning to submit my application earlier than the 28 days prior to 5 years mark, and book my appointment to be within 28 days prior to 5 years, and wanted to make sure this approach won't create any issues.

Sure. I submitted my application early this week and my biometrics are booked on 18th if this month which is well within 28 days. Should have an update at end of the month but I don’t think it will be any problem.

Which month's bank statement and payslip to attach

Post by Waseem432000 » Thu Jul 13, 2023 9:19 am

Hi everyone,

A bit confused while uploading my documents on the UKVAC website. I have had a look around the previous posts but can't find the answer.

Application Type. Set O skilled worker
Date Application submitted. 4th July
Biometrics Date. 18th July

I usually receive my monthly payslip on 5th of each month and my salary around the 11/12 of each month. The one payslip and bank statement that I am required to upload, should that be

1. Issued before the application date or can I upload the ones I have received for this month which is after the application date?
2. If I can use the latest ones (that are both issued after the application date), can I upload the transaction list as my bank statement won't be ready till the first week of August?

July has not closed yet, so submit the last available bank statement - e.g. June - and the corresponding payslip.

great. Thanks for that.

I know it's unlikely to be an issue but just to put myself at ease, my monthly bank statement for June was issued on 7th July (after the application submission date) but that shouldn't be any issue? Similarly, the ILR letter my sponsor has issued is dated on 10th of July so again, after the application date.

That's not an issue at all.

thanks again. I will go with the previous month's pay slip and bank statement then.

Really appreciate your kind and prompt response.

Just in case anyone else stumbles upon this thread with similar queries, I submitted my application a week or so before 5 years minus 28 days but my biometrics were within the 28 days duration and I have my application approved. The other advice about payslips, statements, and everything else also worked out perfectly fine for me.

Thank you and congratulations! I'm in the same situation so this gives me a lot of reassurance (even though there are a lot of posts on the forum saying that I'll be alright)
