Hi folks,
Hope you are all well.
Can someon please answer the following questions as my wife will be applynig for ILR soon.
(I am British National)
1: The date my wife entered the UK was 27 Nov 2018. She received a vignette visa sticker on her passport that was valid from November 20 until December 20, 2018. But when we collected her BRP card in the UK, it stated Date of issue 13 Nov 2018. My wife's current spouse visa extension expires on 7th April 2024. So I am wondering when she can or due to apply for an ILR visa ?[/u]
2: She submitted the Trintiy College London CEFR Level B1.1 certificate during her spouse visa extension application.Can she use the same certificate for ILR too ?
3: Does she need to pass Life in the uk test for ILR ?
4:After getting the ILR , can she apply for the British passort straight away or she need to wait for 1 year.

Not British passport - British citizenship (naturalization). But yes, she can apply for naturalization straight away.
Not sure about the first question - I think for this type of visa date of entry is the starting date of reckonable period for ILR.

What is relevant on spouse route is date of entry into UK. Based on the dates you showed above, She can apply 28days before completing 60months in UK so eligible from 30 Oct 2024.

Is not the date we can apply for ILR should be 27 Nov 2023
Date of Entry in UK = 27 Nov 2018 + 5 years = 27 Nov 2023 and i can apply 28 days before due date so it can be even 1st Nov 2023.
Please correct me if i am wrong..

That was an error, She can apply from 30th Oct., 2023 not 2024.
That would make it 4 years 11 months since she "Entered the UK".
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
