If they have CoS available, it can be assigned instantly. If they do not have any available and have to request more from HO, it can take up to 18 weeks using standard service.

Also depends where you are applying from, UK or abroad.

I am in Pakistan. University is saying that they are waiting for Home Office approval from last 4 weeks.

Please guide how long it can take in this scenario.

Can we contact home office directly in this regard as university applied through premium service. And they advised to contact directly to check the status.

7 week completed now I am waiting for CoS. For an A rated employer (University) is that delay normal?

Employer is saying that we are waiting for Home office approval. You CoS is under review.

As previously stated more than once it can take up to 18 weeks. Universities are not special cases, they are treated like every other sponsor for the purposes of skilled worker COS.

Take it as read they are not in the premium route for additional COS as it would have been granted by now.
