ILR BRP Renewal

Hi,

Little confused, ex partner has indefinite leave to remain, her BRP card expires in November this year.

We are trying to find how to renew but all it says is to book an appointment and provide all documents as if she were applying for her first ILR, 10 years letters etc.

What is the correct process of her renewing her BRP?

It is about renewing the card. She needs to do biometrics again and provide evidence that she has been in the UK over the period she held ILR (settled here and was not absent for more than 24 months)

FYI BRPs are only issued with validity till the end of 2024. A new digital proof of status system will be introduced possibly from early 2024. After the end of 2024, that system will exclusively be used to the status instead of a BRP and all BRPs will be phased out.

So will she need to d the brp then do the new way?

She needs to renew but the card will be valid until the End of 2024.
