Dependent Visa Status - December 2008 Applicant

Post by ra_njan » Mon Jan 12, 2009 6:13 pm

Hi All,
I am in UK on Tier-1 General Visa and my wife and child has applied for Dependent Visa on 11th December 2008, from India, Kolkata VFS.

Till date, there is no reply, other than usual VFS tracking site message.

Requesting all those who applied dependent visa in the similar timeline, please update.

Regards
Ranjan

Its been just 4 weeks. Add to that Christmas and year end holidays. I think it is a bit early for you to start worrying.

All,

I am Roshan. I work in UK. My wife has applied tier 1 dependent visa from VFS PUNE on 12-dec-2008. There are no updates on her visa status yet . It's says the same message "Your application has been forwarded to BHC".

Has anyone applied during december got the dependent Visa ?

Roshan

Hi people,

I am also a Tier-1 general applicant and applied for my wife's visa on 18th december from VFS Delhi but till date haven't heard anything other than the usual message. Usually the dependant visa comes within 3-4 days. I wonder why it is taking so long. Please update once you have received your spouse's visa.

Thanks
Vinny

Hi Push,
You may be right ..I m worrying too early.
Normaly Dep visa takes much less time time as experienced earlier by our forum members.
However, there is very less consistency in all of the BHC's activity this days.

Roshan,

This is very strange. Visit VFS center and enquire. Hope your passport is being sent seperately. Along with your documents, have you received any letter from British Embassy stating your application is approved?

Hi,

The email address that I have for BHC is web.newdelhi@fco.gov.uk. Does anyone know if we can submit an urgent basis application. Since the delay in dependant visa is taking too long and VFS doesnt have any answer, from where can I find out how long it will take for my wife's visa.

Vinny

I submitted last 3 months bank statement, marriage certificate, last 3 months payslips.... these docuemtns were original and i submitted photocopies of my passport and tier-1 visa. Not sure what I did wrong as the visa is taking too long. Usually it comes within a week. If it takes more than a month, chances r that it will b refused........

Need not to worry.
Dependent visa takes less time what delhi vfs is going very slow and there is very huge backlog of aplications due to holydays. Please wait...

Thx for your reply...
