Will my case be renewed ?

Post by bpg2504 » Fri May 06, 2005 8:06 pm

Hi,

I had applied for the HSMP and have got it on august and now this august it is expiring. I am working in the UK but for an indian company and am getting an allowance here which is not taxed for the first two years i think.

I had applied for companies here and have not been successful yet. I am still working for this company and my location for the past 2 years is in the UK. I am about to apply for the renewal in June. Would I application for renewal get approved ? or will they reject it on the basis that i have not paid any taxes etc., to the UK government ?

Any ideas ?

10 May 05 Sent application via royal mail special delivery
11 May 05 application received
12 May 05 payment deducted
18 May 05 received passport with residency permit with 3 year LTR (3 years from date of HSMP expiry) and original documents

I included
short cover letter saying which documents applied to which part of the application
2 passport photos
passport
Bank statements from August 2004
salary advice statements from August 2004
appointment letter

I also included a self address special delivery envelope, but this wasn't used.

Best of luck to everybody else,

Mike

Sorry, I don't usually ask questions like this, but I am not sure where to locate the appropriate form for my HSMP extention.

Could someone please kindly supply a link?

Additionally, I am right in thinking that I should apply no sooner than 2 months before the expiry of the visa, but no later than 1 month before expiry?

Thanks heaps,

Vayu

Vayu,

You'll need to fill out the FLR (IED) from http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... forms.html

The guidance says no sooner than 5 weeks, but http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... rant.html? still says 2 months.

If you have any doubts, email wpcustomers@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk they were very helpful and prompt in answering my questions.

Kind Regards,

Mike

Letter confirming receipt of application dated 9 June.

I submitted my extension application almost 3 months before the expiry of my initial visa.

Documents Submitted:

So the home office is now approving these extensions super quick  great news!!!

Hi all,

I have few questions before applying for my ILR, would appreciate if someone could help me out:

1. I am in UK for just 4 months and my visa will expire 18th of October 2005, in fact I came to UK 5 months late, will this be any problem?
2. I have permanent job in my field for the last 3 months
3. When should I be applying?, I would like to apply in late August (2 months before my visa expiry)

Please reply.
Thanks!
