settlement visa GRANTED LOL

Post by 688148256 » Mon Feb 16, 2009 10:41 am

Hi, once again!!!

My wife's settlement application has completed 12 weeks today but still we haven't heard anything from the BHC, NEW DELHI, INDIA.

We have contacted the VFS and the BHC several times but apparantly the answer seems to be the same.

Could someone advice as what we should do now and is there anything to fear of because they have passed the 12 weeks calender and it is our second application for the visa.

thank u

Hiya, We too are in the same boat. our second application and it has been more than 12 weeks now. What we did was that we got our Local MP involved. He wrote to the UKBA 6 weeks ago and he got a reply yesterday. The UKBA services has written back to the MP saying that we should get a reply for our application before the end of the month, and also I received a email today saying that if we don't hear anything this week please immediately contact them back so that they will chase up on our application.
Well, what I did was we got our Mp involved and also kept on constantly emailing the embassy. Hope this helps..

As 12 weeks have passed you are justified in ringing them or emailing them to find out what is happening with your case.

I wouldnt get theMP involved yet, just do the above first and see what happens.

Remember the famous saying

"All good things come to those who wait patiently"

What happened today????
Did your wife have to go to the application centre or the BHC ????
When my hubby had to go to New Delhi he always got there for 8 o'clock in the morning as that is when they open the doors.

medical done

Post by 688148256 » Wed Feb 25, 2009 6:47 pm

Well she has collected her medical envelope and all the documents that we submitted with the application.

She got her medical tests done yesterday. Dr. will inform her about her report tom by fone and has asked her to wait for a call from the BHC, should be informed about the passport collection within 10 days dono either by BHC OR VFS...

BHC still holds her passport but all the other documents have been returned back to her.

:D How does all this sound good or bad? :D

thank you

8 DAYS NOW!

Post by 688148256 » Wed Mar 04, 2009 1:09 pm

Is it appropriate to call the BHC to find out about the progress of the application after the medical.

Well its been 8 days since the medical got done but stilll we have not heard anything about the passport or the visa.

Should we call the embassy to find or wait for their call..

New status on the internet.

? ? ? ?

Processed application in transit???

I called the embassy today and I was told the officer has received the medical report but has not yet issued the visa.

Please call back on tuesday next week.

But around 1pm gmt hours status changed to the one above.

I have found out from a different forum about the above message.

It means the passport is on its way from BHC to VFS.

So, hopefully on Monday message will change to ""Passport Ready for Collection"" or something similiar to this one.
