INDIAN (TIER 1) APPLICANTS - WAITING TIMES ABOVE 4 WEEKS

Hi all

I would request every Tier 1 General applicant from India to post their waiting timelines here along with respective vfs locations, who have been waiting for a result for more than 4 weeks.

Applied : 09-Jan-2009
Status after 5 weeks i.e 16th-feb-2009 : Appl fwd to BHC.

Hope we can discuss here the possible reasons for them (BHC) taking so much time.

its totally unfortunate that its taking so much time.

But i applied on 12th Jan and got VISA today.

i was always looking forward to result on your application as it would have given me an idea that my application is also on verge of getting processed.

and there was no verification in my case.

Please be patient and i'm sure you are going to get visa in a day or two.

I'm also in the same boat, i think the processing is completed, but the result is not known. Possibly the documents would be delivered tomorrow, positively it should be approved!

R they doing the backgroud check or not.

My HR is out of office for 15days. So, not sure how thing will go smooth.

If you application is straightforward and you have provided all MANDATORY docs. There are very very very less chances of any types of Checks...

And you have got VISA in 5 working Days !!!!

Finally I have got the VISA, thanks a lot to everyone on this forum.

Applied: 12th Jan 2009 at VFS Chandigarh
VISA APPROVED: 18th Feb 2009

Case: I am already a dependent on my partner and had a valid visa until June 2012 but with the current market situation Tier 1 was a more suitable option.

Now I have visa until Feb 2012 but this means I can change jobs, get my partner and son dependent on me.

Application consisted of:

1) Index page
2) VAF form
3) Appendix 1
4) Passport
5) Cover Letter
6) Original degree
7) Final yearâ€™s marksheet
8) Letter from employer
9) Payslips for 12 months
10) Employment contract from UK
11) Bank statement (12 months only, it covered 12 months earning and last 3 months had funds for maintenance)
12) UK degree
13) UK Mark sheet ( to claim points for English language)
14) Tenancy Agreement
15) Photo copy of marriage certificate (not attested)
16) Self assessment form

I do not know if any verification were done or not. I wish luck to all members. Any further questions please reply here. I will check the forum frequently.

Thank you to each and every member of this forum who helped me to get my Tier 1 G visa. Here are my details:

Applied on: 30th January 09 - Bangalore VFS
Stamped on 17th February 09
Passport received via Blue Dart on 19th Feb 09
Visa Granted : 30t march 09 to 30tt march 2012
