for mine, just life in the uk & Uni admission letter and i think working and child tax credit documents and thats all!!! My driving licence,p60,payslip,bank statement etc where all rejected by the guy at NCS who says all of those documents dont really show your presence in the uk as you could be in brazil or china and still be getting your p60,payslip,bank statement delivered to you somehow, which is quite right.
He says that was all enough what he got. :D so just a waiting game now.
welcome on board

Chess,
Is the date of debit/credit equal to the actual date of receipt of the documents by HO. I have a very tight window of 8 days when I was physically in UK. Am worried whether they are enough for the application to reach HO? Thanks
Date of receipt of Docs by HO is the following working day after posting...asuming you use special delivery/NCS
Idont see what the driving license proved?

I see that some applications sent in January have already been processed, it's great.

It is going to be almost 4 month since I sent my application but I have not heard from the Home Office yet. I checked with a friend who is one of the named references on the application and he has not been contacted either.

My application is straightforward (no gaps, no long periods outside the UK, no other applicant..)

Then you must have answered your name wrong because those are a lot of questions. How long was that interview?

Chess,
Now that you have become a Brit, please dont abandon us on here. Keep giving / sharing with us your experiences! This journey (as they call it), is really rough and full of uncertainities from new rules from HO every now and then.

I have seen some posts from people who are in the same situation as me i.e. submitted their applications around 3rd week of Oct '08 and haven't got anything except the acknowledgement. Is there anyone who submitted between 15th and 25th Oct and actually received a decision (+ve or -ve) or request for further information?

Chees et al,
Would there be a problem if the same person who refereed you in form AN for BC also referees you in the passport application?

Having read all the 74 ish pages on this thread, there is a clear corelation between applications in winter and success / speed of approval. Winter applications seem to be dealt with very quickly ~2 months on average BUT some summer ones wait until the next summer to be akwnoledged!
