Work Permit Dependent Rule

HI,

Iam on a workpermit dependent visa and one of my friend has told me that the working rules for the dependent visa holders are going to be changed i.e anyone on the dependent visa will not be able to work.Does anyone is aware of this or is this just a rumour.

This is really worrying.Please let me know if any of you guys know anything about this.
