No...I dont think any verification was done...I work for top IT company so may be they would not have done that.....but I believe if they go for verification, it can go more than a month for any answer...

Hi,

I have applied for Tier 1 Visa on April 2 at Mumbai South. The status at VFS says it is forwarded to BHC. If any one else who applied around the same time, kindly update your status.

I've mostly been a silent reader, and now am a successful applicant - so want to say thanks to everyone contributing to this forum!

Applied at Mumbai VFS: 23rd March 2009
Status: 15th April: Processed application delivered to Blue Dart on
Received stamped visa on 17th April morning
Visa valid from 06/04/2009 to 06/04/2012

Question: Has anyone sucessfully tried to post-date the visa after receiving it? I mentioned my travel date as June 22 2009, but that hasnt been considered. How easy is it to do this and what is the procedure.

Congrats for ur visa, I think if mentioned in cover letter they do consider to give post date visas. I have sent mail to them as i am awaiting my result. Lets c if they consider. If you try calling vfs and ask they will let u know.

Will update if i get it.

I have applied for tier 1 G on 30th March .my online application status track states "visa fwded to BHC" .Some of my friends have chosen Blue dart courier those ppl got their visas today.

Is there is any technical problem in online system (some of them are saying)
If so is there any contact number to make a call to vfs chennai to ask about the status.

kindly post if anybody have any idea.

Hi All,

Yesterday evening my application status changed from 'Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission' to 'Your passport is ready for collection: please visit the uk visa application center where you submitted your visa application'.

However it not mentioned on the online status whether my visa is accepted or rejected. Just want to know any one has such experiences and what would be the actual result - acepted or rejected.

Congratualtion. My visa validity date start from 05 June 2009. Looking into current job market, I am planing fly uk in coming Aug-september.

I got my visa today.

Here are my status

3/30/2009 Image Scanning Completed On
3/30/2009 Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission
4/27/2009 Your visa is at transit
4/27/2009 Your passport is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same.

Hi Everyone,
I got my Tier 1 VISA today (28th April). The passport was stamped on 20th April and is valid for 3 years.

Hi,
You should be getting your passport and all the other relevant documents you submitted very soon - probably today. Yuo can call up the VFS and enquire the AWB no of Bluedart and then follow up with Bluedart. As for if you have been granted VISA, see if your passport is stamped. All the best and do update us.

Got the documents back today morning with visa stamped for three years from 1st may, 2009 to 1st may,2012. I am planning to travel towards the end of May or first week of June. I guess that is not an issue.

Today I got the message on my mobile as follows and website also shows the same.

"Your Passport is ready for collection;please visit the UK visa application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same".

Can someone rcvd info like this ?? what does this mean is it granted or ??

Finally we received our passports today, with the stamping

Tier 1 Dependents
Date of application 16th March 09
Date of receiving 29th April 09
Applied from VFS Hyderabad.

Hi friends..

I would like to share my tier1 application status.

Date of Application : 27th March from VFS bangalore
Applciation Status as on 29th April - 'Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission '.

Today i tried to check the status but there was some error with the web site. So i sent SMS to 57333 .I got reply immediately as 'Processed application Delivered to Bludart on 29th April'. So i checked in bludart site by entering my passport number.It says 'Expected Date of Delivery 02 May 2009 ' .

Really feeling tense about the result.

I called up UK Consulate in Chennai and they lady over the phone told me that 'DECISION HAS BEEN MADE ON MY APPLICATION TODAY'.I asked her, whether VISA is granted or not.She told she can't tell that and I had been told it will take 3 to 4 days to dispacth the docs.

No verification calls made to my previous and current employers.

Can any body tell me, how to know that the VISA has been granted or not?

I am completely tensed.

I was also in similar situation since Friday when I came to know a decision has been taken. On Tuesday I came to know that it has been delivered and got it on Wednesday late evening.

They never disclose the result on phone or mail but we need to check once we get the passports.

Kepp hoping for the best.
