Wife and baby settlement visa - Time line in Chennai (India)

Hello guys,

My wife applied settlement visa for my wife and baby on 23rd feb 2009 we are in 9th week still i am seeing "Visa application forwarded to BHC".

When i called chennai BHC office they told me that they need min of 50 working days to process application.

Is there any one in the same situation please share your experinces.

50 working days roughly equal about 2.5 - 3months.That is the standard waiting time for settlement visa in the Indian subcontinent.

To be on the safe wait till about 20/5 before you start chasing it up,otherwise you will get the standard reply you already have got from them.
