How long does it normally take to get back your supporting documents for naturalisation applications, if you have applied directly to IND?

About the same time as the application is dealt with. There is currently said to be an average waiting time of 3 to 4 months. But many hear much quicker than that. (My wife applied in April last year when the average time was said to be eight months ... but she heard back after just five weeks.)

But what is the problem? Did you submit your passport and now you need it back? If so contact IND in Liverpool and ask for it back. It should arrive in a few days.
