Hi Digiboy, I really dont think a consultant is required for applying Tier1 as it is a very much straight fwd case and only depends on the documentation that you provide as per the Tier1 guidance document which can be found in the UKBA site by little browsing, link is mentioned below fyr;

Even before that, just ask your frn to assess her eligibility by calculating her points using the link provided...

Happy to help,
Ash.

If your frined really want to waste money, I ca consult him :)

Man, Consultant will charge you 50k or more only and will do nothing. Ask him to do some research, take help form this Forum and apply at his own instead of wasting money on consultants.

It is not tough to apply. Process is now v easy but things are required to be handle carefully.

Hi,
If ur friend really insists on authentic advice from specialists he/she can do a google search by typing in PBS Tier 1 Chennai India.
Immigration law is mystery and a mastery in obfuscation, and the lawyers who can figure that out are worth their weight in gold.

Don't think people can get better advice than in this forum that too for free. But again its horses for courses.

Anybody can increase their rating on google searches.I wouldn't waste money on so-called specialists for Tier-1. Besides, when I did search google as you adviced, surprise surprise...I got your website.... Are your advertising your services on this forum? Please refrain from using such tactics. This is a free forum purely to help people and not an ad agency.

Immigration law is not a mystery but just carefull observation and providing correct documents in correct format. Anybody can do it.

I think we need to advertise ourselves & spread to word wider, in order reach new entrants.

Yes, Imm Consultants might be helpful in complex cases but for 99% of the cases, forums like these are sufficient.

I paid Rs.50,000 for my intial HSMP approval to a consultant. I later learnt more than her by going through the posts here. It was day-light robbery - only difference is that I willingly paid the robber.

End of the day, it is their day-job & they might have never even applied for a UK visa. But this is your life / career, you would pay more attention to it.

Yes. You need to advertise yourself but in the right place. This forum is "purely" of the people,by the people and for the people. What other member is doing is to spread word using goodwill of this forum and not his/her work, which is wrong. Imagine this forum if people start using it for their own commercial gain. Would you trust the suggestions/replies made by people knowing that they may be biased?
Besides, If somebody want to promote his business, obviously to earn money, he should be doing it in some commercial forum(which are paid) or use some advertising agency to spread the word. This is not a PR forum and it is against the FORUM RULES to do that.
We all know agents create a mysterious aura of the immigration rules to rip money out of people and allowing such activities in the forum defeats the purpose of this very place.
