Friends VAF4a used, was out of date by few months - problem?

Will this be in any way used as part of, or grounds for refusal?

He submitted one just yesterday but it was issued in March. It is 99%identical to this current July version of the VAF4a, just for this one thing - the VAF4a' Form reference (clearly its not March).

He wants to know what to do, if indeed he needs to be worried, (which he is)!

The onus is on the applicant to make sure that they are using the correct form that is applicable at the time!
So yes, I would say he does have cause for concern unfortunately.
UKBA are well known to look for any small excuse to refuse/delay an application.

What is the most up to date Vaf4a form?

Wheni go to http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/vafs the most recent is dated Dec 2008.

I should have perhaps also stated, its a PSW Dependant visa thats gone in, just two days now. Sorry, should have stated that, was bit rushed yesterday.

Its going to perhaps contact the ECM in another vac, to see what they would do.

He is stressed so would have been to tell him that its not that important, but it may well be, as Batley Khan has said to me another time, its likely to be a bit dependant on whether the ECO has got out of bed on the wrong side or not...At least this is what he and I beleive, until we hear anything different....
