BHC Cochin India - Spouse Visa Application Submitted

Post by Prem » Wed Jun 24, 2009 11:45 am

Finally, my wife has submitted her application for Spousal Visa. It’s taken a very long time just to get to this stage. I've been following this forum for over 3 years. Many thanks to BatleyKhan and John, for all their assistance.

Spoke to my wife briefly afterwards, she says that they took everything out of our plastic folder, and plastic wallets, so that was a waste of my time. Also they asked me to sign the SU07 sponsorship undertaking form, which i found very surprising, I did it and sent it back. I'll get more details of the process once my wife gets home.

Anyone else applying from India, please post your stories below, I have a long wait ahead...

I know it doesn't mean she has got the visa, but its a step in the right direction!

Yeah, that looks cool...We also hope with you that everything goes on well.

When everything is done, pls write to us where the medical examination happened. Heard they would call people to Chennai for that.

My wife collected her medical yesterday from Cochin VFS.

The medical was at Amrita (Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre).

You need 5 passport size photographs and 1 negative of you passport size photograph (6cm x 6cm).

She rang to book her appointment there and then, and was told she would have to come twice. The first day they did a blood test, Urine test, Eye test & took a chest x-ray.

She is going back on Saturday to see the doctor.

If you look at my timeline in my signature, it took 1 month and 1 week. You have to be patient my friend!

I'm still around, i think they are asking for help because not a lot of people apply from Cochin or there's no posts relating to it. Currently getting docs and forms together to send off for ILR next week!
