Post by GSOtodd » Mon Aug 31, 2009 5:21 pm

from 28,000 to 26,000, will I have to go through a change of employment INCLUDING A RESIDENT LABOUR MARKET TEST or would I still fall within the Transitional Arrangments (I entered in Jan. 2006).

1. Any change in the salary must be notified to HO by u employer.
2. Not declaring will create a problem for extension.
3. Its a requirement to disclose this information to HO.
4. Can u put more details regarding u situation as the information u entered does not really help to give advise in u case.

Well my visa/Tier 2 has already been extended. However, I just got my salary review and it increased on me when I became a qualified teacher in the UK. I was already making 24,000 pounds PLUS an extra four thousand due to having additional role which I took on in 2007 and this made my salary come up to 28,000 pounds. However, when my salary increased due to me getting QTS, my salary increased to 30,000 pounds. I got this info after I sent in my application, which was approved.

Also, I don't know if my employer informed the HO that I got the extra resposibilities as well but of course this was in 2007 before the points system and that substantial responsibiliites besides teaching would have to be advertised/approved.

I just emailed the HO just to be on the safe side. Hopefully everything willbe ok because I read where increases in salary (due to raises, etc) do not have to be reported. Is this correct?

But, come the end of 2009/2010, my school is going through reorganisation and my extra responsibilities may come to an end. This means I may have to take a cut in salary. Would I have to reapply and gro through a labour market test JUST TO KEEP THE TEACHING JOB WITHOUT THE EXTRA RESPONSIBILITY?

1. U need to be very careful in u situation.
2. If there is a change in job or salary then it needs to be reported but not job title.
3. Annual pay rise does not need to be reported to HO.
4. If u salary was not an annual pay rise then it needs to be reported to HO.

1. U had a wage increase and it was not reported to HO (unless it was an annual pay rise).

1. Well if they find out u and u employer can have problems.
2. U employer rating can be down graded
3. Its a condition on u employer to report changes like that to HO.

well, I just emailed the home office about this BUT my additional responsibilities came about in 2007, this was when it didn't have to be reported as long as it was the same profession. Since I emailed the home office, do you think it will be ok now? your honest opinion.
