Dont even bother its not worth it, timings are between 2 to 5pm for collection.
they only check in their system and tell u then n there ur passport is not here , we will call u when it arrives

The website makes this pretty clear so it is quite surprising to read that you can go and check your status there. The Call Center has also told me that we should check our status online which is regularly updated hence we have not even bothered trying this route....

Hi 2036789,

So was the decision over turned or did you re-apply for the Visa. Also why was the visa refused intially? Or are you just waiting on BHC to stamp the passport now?

Baz

Hello safina1,
Unfortunately BHC Islamabad gives no timescale on passports submitted after appeal. They say its indefinite time and wait to be contacted. So many people waiting their passports back from BHC after appeal allowed. I did not hear anyone got passport back from BHC after appeal since last one and half month.
Don’t know what BHC Islamabad is doing.
Regards,
Kash

Hi

The below should help everyone -----

ear Sir / Madam

Thank you for your e-mail in which you enquired about status of visa application.

Please be advised that all non-settlement applications are being assessed in British Embassy Abu-Dhabi and settlement applications are being handled at UK HUB London.

Under the current procedure, Passports are kept by BHC Islamabad for as long as the application is sent to one of the above mentioned UK Visa Operation Centres. After the visa application has been concluded from Abu Dhabi or UK HUB, it still has to be in a queue for further process at BHC Islamabad before it is returned to the applicant through Gerry's office.

Due to heavy flow of visa applications we have some back log that is why applicants are requested to check their case status on visa application centre's website at www.ukvacpk.com.

You may also contact them on 0900 10411 from a landline or 8865 from a mobile. These calls are charged at a premium rate of 10 Rps per minutes. If you are calling from the United Kingdom, the number to call for telephone enquiries is 00 92 51 209 8999.

Their staff will advise you when to visit their centre to collect / submit your documents/passport.

If you want to provide feedback or complain about the service provided either at the VAC or at the Visa Section, or about the behaviour of a member of our staff please write to the following,

Deputy Director of Visa Services

British High Commission

Diplomatic Enclave

Ramna 5 Islamabad

Hope this answer all the questions and we just need to be patient

SAint,

The information you have posted here is about the fresh application. Whats the procedure for appeal cases, because there is no information available for successful appeal cases. In appeal cases home office or UK HUB LOnDon and the judge, on the basis of our appeal and the bundle of documents we submit for proof, clear us and gives the decision in our favor. Then why they send our passports again to UK HUB for further verification??? As in my case, judge gave his determination on 13th May 2009, its been almost 4 months now and they have not able to verify my documents or able to issue me a visa.

According the information you provided that is for fresh applications.

Sorry TOPGUN

The information i provided was for a settlement case a fresh application - unfortunately i have no idea with regards to successful appeals.

There are a number of people waiting for their passports, but what i do know is the VISA are stamped on to the passport at the High commission the same will be the case with appeals

In my personal opinion it is useless writing to BHC directly. I tried it via snail mail and got a reply after 2 weeks in writing that all settlement applications are handled by UK Hub in London. I suppose the best way to contact them and get an update is via the ukhub email address and wait patiently for a reply.

Contacting Gerry's is a waste of time and money. You will only get more frustrated than you already are by their seemingly unending levels of incompetence! They can't tell you what they don't know......

S4INT - Did you actually call the BHC on the above numbers to get this 4-5 days timeline from them or was it Gerrys?

Might get my wife to give them a call as well as our application was submitted around same time and same VAC as yours & 2036789's.

Let me know as it would be such a relief S4INT!

hi guys

I called gerrys about 2 weeks ago, and I was told the same thing, that my husbands paperwork is in islamabad, and that i should hear soon...lol....still waiting, i then called again to be told that no advisor has access to this info, and i was misinformed!!!

i really hope you were told the truth, but i wouldnt get my hopes too high. I reckon they just look at the submission date and work out the weeks since submitted and just tell you that your apps bk from the UK.

Hi,

My wife called a few weeks ago and was also told her application was at BHC, however she was told that it can take about 16 weeks at the moment. The problem we have is her TB test expires in October. Is anyone in a positin were their TB test has expired or is due to expire soon.

And has anyone been contacted to collect thier passport to renew the TB test.

If so do they give you a new reference no. when u submit the renewed TB test.
Regards,

Baz

It is Valid for 6 months, My wife had her test done in April just after we got married, to later realise we needed an appointment to submit her papers.

We got an appointment for May only for VAC messing us about in regards to the documents we had and not accepting the bankers draft as the price changed the day she was to submit her papaers. So in the end we had to pull out and get another date for end of June when she finally submitted the papers.

She submitted her papers (in Karachi) and we have been waiting ever since....

Now we are getting close to October and the TB will expire

Anyone in a similar situation??
