It was down in the morning today but later went on-line.

Make sure that you register when you do need, as the system will not allow you to change the appointment (at list in its early days).

I was amazed that it showed virtually all days and time slots as available, bearing in mind that yesterday their phone system was announcing that no appointments were available in the UK in September. Too good to be true ?

At least something has been done and, hopefully, will be working fine.

If you read through the link, you will see that it directs you to another link, as to which type of applications are catered for.

Hi, Thanks for that

I went through the link
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/conta ... oservices/
I am on Work Permit will soon be eligible for ILR.
Just to reassure myself, I should be able to book an appointment based on General Category?

Thanks

Yes guys its working!

I actaully was able to book for 30-October-2009 for my ILR, will be at their Solihul, Birmingham office.

I called PEO numbers and I was given an excuse that their booking systems was having some issues but I can now book online today. So I did!

How to:

at ukbabooking.homeoffice.gov.uk

You will have to first register yourself and any dependent (must not be more than ten). During your registration you will have to give a Memorable Word, a unique value known only to you, alpaphet only, not less than 8 and I think, not more than 16 characters.

Then HO will send to your given email address a
Reference ID : xxxxxxxx - numeric value only, and a
Transaction ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - alphanumeric value.

You will need your ref and transx IDs to search and book online.

That was how I did it this morning and it worked!

All the best you guys who'll be booking online

I cannot recollect exactly if those given dates were actually more than 6 weeks. But You will get available dates up to at least six weeks or if there is any cancelled date and its available you may also get that too.

What I noticed is that no Saturday booking options anymore, Its only Mon-Fri.

Also, What they did was to allow bookings in weekly block and then you will have to choose the day of the week that is applicable to you.

Hope this helps!

just a reminder for anyone that they should book only once they have done the Life in the UK Test and passed, otherwise you would be waisting your money if you book online and make an application

That was just a reminder Rozen as not all people are as experienced as you and it's amazing what people forget or overlook is necessary when they are caught up with immigration forms and procedures. So sorry if I offended you but this group is for support and I was just trying to be supportive.

Oh no, Taliska! I totally agree with you! I'm sorry, I was just having a bit of a 'turn' when I wrote that. I apologize.

Any luck booking appointments online in October or last week?

I tried every day (after 27 Sept) several times a day (before 9:00am, at 9:00am, after 9:00am) for different PEOs and dates: result is always "No appointments available"... :-(

Does anyone know: when the new appointments are being made available for booking online? (what time of the day? is it every day?)

Lots of thanks

I tried different ways:

if to try to book appointment for 1 person (no dependants): there are appointments available for today 6-8 weeks (i.e., 19 Nov - 1 Dec);

however if to try to book appointments for 2 persons (i.e., with 1 dependant): there are ABSOLUTELY no appointments available...

Does anyone know, how to "catch" appointment for applicant with dependants?
Thanks.

Booking Reference Number

Post by chunkybeefsoup » Thu Oct 08, 2009 3:13 pm

Have I missed something as when I booked at the Birmingham PEO online it

did not give a unique booking reference number beginning BIR as you get

when you book by phone. This allows you through the door.

The following:

Reference ID : xxxxxxxx - numeric value only, and a
Transaction ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - alphanumeric value

aren't really what the operator was asking for when I called them to enquire about my booking. She was asking for a number beginning BIR :-(

Anyone, any idea how long does it take for them to mail back the reference and transaction IDs. I registered yesterday but have yet not received any email.

yeah it's a bit wierd.. i just tried booking an appt online, for w/c Dec 14th - but it says there are absolutely no slots for that entire week in any PEO.

wondering how successful others have been in booking appts online?

and what about phone booking - has anyone tried that in the past few days?

i wonder if are there separate slots (quotas) for phone and online bookers..?

I managed to get one during the first week of December even though the website said no appointments are available when I tried about an hour back before making the acutal booking. Just keep trying... I think they make the slots available at random timings during the day. Good luck :-)
