travelling on FMRS (non-EEA family member residence stamp)

Post by annarchet » Tue Oct 13, 2009 1:59 pm

Hi everyone,

I am a Canadian married to a Pole. We live in the UK and I have a non-EEA family stamp valid until May 2010. I am currently travelling outside the UK and it will be my first time entering the UK on the non EEA family member residence stamp. I am a little anxious because customs officers always insist on the departure date (which also has to be indicated on the landing card). Shall I indicate that I will leave before the expiration of the residence stamp or will they accept if I leave it blank and say I will apply for non-EEA family member residence card? I don’t know if anyone has travelled on the non-EEA family stamp and had any trouble?

Many thanks in advance, Anne.
