What I mean is that on the letter that comes back with the passport , the visa was placed onto my passport on the 22nd . Hence I implied it as the processing date. Unfortunatley there is no way of knowing the status of an application until you receive your passport back. I wish you the best in your application.

PEO or Post

Post by marupa » Sat Oct 31, 2009 2:59 pm

Hi All,

I would like your help in deciding whether to go through Post or PEO. My visa expires in 3rd Jan 2010. So I effectively have two months. I checked the PEO and got an appointement on 23rd Dec . Should I wait until the last minute to go through it.
Also I would like to ask a few other questions
1) I have the bank balance from 1 july 09 to 30 Sep 09. So if I apply now after 1 month delay is it okay. Or should I wait for my next bank statement which will arrive ony 20th of November.

2) I am not operating with a good bank, I have always had problems with the card, so should I write a check. If so will it further delay my application.

What should I do, your advise would be of real help

Thanks ,
Marupa

Points claimed

Post by crazyvish » Mon Nov 02, 2009 12:59 pm

Hi all,

I could see most of the people posting their points claimed as

75+20
100+20
85+20

Could anyone let me know what's this +20?

Thanks,
Vish.

The points are acquired from three main sections

a. Attributes (age, previous earnings, etc...)
b. Maintenance funds - 10 or 0
c. English Language - 10 or 0

HO expects you get at least 75 points in attributes section and 10 points for each maintenance funds and English language sections.

Possibly thanks to the HSMP application style, when mentioning points people say their points from attributes and say +20 to mention they satisfy relevant requirements (maintenance + language).

A kind request to all - this thread is only to post extension approvals and timelines, so please refrain from posting other questions.

Thanks

Regarding English, will the scoresheet of IELTS ( 8.0) be enough to show evidence of the knowledge of English?
Thanks

Can somebody explain this for me please:

"Please understand the rules of Maintenance funds like the lastest bankstatement shd be within 1month on the date you apply and funds during the last 3months should not fall below min required.. for 1main applicant 800£ and 533£each for dependents"

Does this mean: If i am applying on say 15th Nov, my bank statement should not be older than 15th October?

Thanks
S

Yes, it is mandatory that ur statement can not be older more than 1 month, so in your case not older than 15th October.

Needed some inputs - My HSMP visa expires on 19-Jan-10. I've applied for my extention on 12-Nov-09. I've overall 105 + 10 + 10 points (Total 125). My docs reached Home Office and the fee was deducted on 13-Nov-09. In addition, I received letter from Home Office confirming the receipt of my application (along with the reference number). I've arranged for a courier to collect my docs from Home Office (after processing) - this was mentioned on the cover letter and I also faxed the letter to Home Office (quoting my reference number).

I'm planning to move house in the next couple of weeks and wanted to know if this would impact my application processing. All post coming to my old address would be redirected to my new address (Royalmail Service).

Based on the timelines given on Home Office site, my application would only be reviewed in the first week of December.
During the week commencing 23 November 2009 we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 2 November 2009. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.
Do I need to complete the "Change of circumstances" form?

Many thanks
