Application date: 14-Dec-2009

Appears taking more time for my case.

Do applications with dependents take more time than single applications?

Type: HSMP to Tier 1 (General) In-country application
Expiry date before applying 13th March 2010

Application date: 07-Dec-2009
Payment deducted : 8th Dec 2009
Acknowledgement letter date: 8th Dec 2009
Approval Date: 13th Jan 2010
Passport returned on 15th Jan 2010.

New Visa Expiry - 13th Mar 2013
I also send along a self addressed Special delivery envelop.

Question: My visa on passport came back as - Tier 1 (Post-Study-Work) as Type of Permit. Is this correct? Should I get them to correct it? They gave me a 3 year extension anyway so I guess this is just a minor problem.

Thanks to the forum!

William

Fee deducted on 24th Nov and acknowledgement letter received on 24th Nov.
But since then I am waiting no response no reply. I also attached self address envelope but i cant find tracking number on receipt.
Can you please suggest what I should do other than wait.

Thanks

u can call them and ask about it. they might not help you as 14 weeks have not passed. good luck

No use calling UKBA..we had called them too but they dont provide any information and are very blunt about not providing any information before 14 weeks of application submission..

But still urs is too late now..u shud find out someway to contact them..

I have also applied for TIER 1 General. I applied for the Visa online ( i am in NZ).

Application Submitted online - 7th Jan
Fees Deducted --- 7th Jan (as application was made online)
Biometrics Done - 8th Jan
Application sent to International Mail centre - 11th Jan
International Mail Center received the application - 12th Jan
No Acknowledgement yet....Still waiting

***International Mail Centre forward the applications from Auckland to British High Commission in Canberra, Australia).

A friend of mine applied from auckland on Monday (sometime in December) and he got his visa approved the following Wednesday (8 working days). Dont know what is different with my application as it is going to the same High Commission in Canberra and he also got the acknowledgement in the same week.

Does the BHC send acknowledgement to every one ? Anybody else in the same boat who has applied from Auckland?

They do send a letter which has the reference number in it given by UKBA against your application received. This letter is the only evidence I guess and is treated as the reference letter.

Did you get 3 years extension or you applied for early extension. What was your visa expiry date before this extension?
