Give the HO ten working days and if you didn't receive your Certificate of application, you start calling them every day by 9am on the dot.
Don't give them breathing space all, before the end of April you might get it if your claim is ok.

Hello everyone,

I am non-EU citizen and my wife is German citizen.

I sent my EEA 2 application on 5th of Januray 2010 and received the COA on 20th January (dated 17th of January 2010) and since then heard NOTHING.
I did call the HO today and the adviser told me that my application still under "initial check stage" and have not allocated to a case work team :(

Anyone has applied in 2010 and received the EEA 2?

I have read so many horror stories regarding EEA 2 applications applied in 2009...hope the HO processing the applications quicker this year...

Anyone who has applied for EEA2 has been telling us on this forum that they have been waiting for around one year.

Hi

Post by Forza_RC » Sat Feb 20, 2010 12:56 pm

Would anyone tell me if I need to send any additional documents? I sent:
-The EEA2 application form
-2 photos
-My and my wife's passport
-A letter from my wife's employer (an international company) (confirmation of employment)
-My wife's recent wage slips
-My bank statement
-Original Marriage Certificate
-A letter from the university (I am doing a master's + contract based working)

I did not send my business contract because I am contract based till end of April. And, I did not send any insurance paperas well such as "Comprehensive sickness insurance document".

Do you think it is a problem not to send "Comprehensive sickness insurance document"?

Thanks in advance for your responds...

I applied in November 2009 and got my RC within 5 weeks.... so perhaps that’s a sign that things are speeding up. Good luck!

Did you send any "comperensive sickness insurance" or any insurance documents?

And would you mind telling us what documents did you send to the HO?

Thanks
