Wranings, Cautions & ILR

Post by sfjeelani » Sat Feb 06, 2010 7:28 pm

Hi

I would like to initiate a discussion, if somebody has been given written warnings or cautions by police or other Govt. authoritoes, in relation with ILR?

How can it affect the ILR decision?

Considering Section-7 in SET(O) form, should one mention any wranings/cautions?

As per Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, they become spent immediately when given.

How to deal with spent conviction?

Many thanks

It is clearly stated in the form itself that you do not need to declare spent convictions.

This is just to update the thread that I got a mail from HO that:

Warning & Cautions need NOT be mentioned in application form.

They further said:

Crime convicted in the court MUST be mentioned.

Hope it helps
