Relax....I assure you would that you would be just fine.Anyway, for some reason, this board stresses me out.
Good....I am glad to hear that....Thank you for your concern but I'm quite chilled about my situation
I am sorry to hear you feel this way and hope you would soon also, perhaps, somewhat come to terms with this....It's reading everyone else's woes and the brief bickering and lack of empathy that appeared to go on.
What reliable source is this?aman5 wrote:I have heard from a reliable source recently that process at HO is being speeded up and pending applications may be cleared up much faster in the coming weeks.

I read posts on lots of different immigration sites and people are always posting information they hear from 'sources' but are not so forthcoming with who these sources are. For example hangermanger posting information about our applications not being dealt with until April...but doesn't say where they heard this from. If your information is true that is great but if not (which is usually the case with most information people post) all it does is gave false hope.
I applied on the 3rd of August and like many of you have found the wait stressful. It makes it more stressful when I read such posts and they turn out to be fake even if well intended.
Anyway, i'm not trying to have a go at you , i'm just asking if you post information you hear from 'sources' at least say who the source is so we can gauge for ourself how reliable it is.
Well put, coolboyuk.coolboyuk wrote:Hi ALL,
Just wanted to say that please be specific and clear about what category you applied [although this forum thread is specially created by boonbin for 10 year ILR], what you have heard and from what source [ if you can please provide reference, links, url, etc.] as this random comments and assumptions are really confuses us [me] and leading towards the corner where you get frustrated and end up fully stressed.
I totally understand this forum is for to share suggestions, news and comfort each other.

I have collected my passport with ILR approved today from Royal Mail.
I missed it yesterday and they left the card for collection.
The ILR was issued on 11 March 2010 in Liverpool.
I actually sent the pre-paid specially delivery together with my application. However, all my documents are send back by normal register mail and my 12 pounds guaranteed next day delivery before 9:00 special devliery envelop is not returned.

Congratulations. Just wanted to ask you whether UKBA sent any separate letter stating that you will be entitled to Naturalisation/Citizenship from an early date. If they count restriction free year from 11 March 2010 it will be very unfair.
That's good point. Maybe I will try my local MP first to see what suggestions he can give.dolf wrote:Hi Croydon,
It will not affect Naturalisation/British Citizenship process. But if you think it adds up another six or seven months to our application, without our fault or negligence.
I think UKBA should give a backdated letter to rectify this issue (there incompetence). Seven months is a long time and we don’t know what Tories will do if they form the next government.
I read from some other posts they do this for Work Permit applications. It looks like that still we have to fight for this. At least request UKBA. (He who dares ... gets it)
