Child will be automatically British. Apply directly for passport. No need to fill in MN1 formlionking007 wrote:Hello
We got our ILR a few months back and our baby is due very soon. I just wanted to know if we can directly apply for a child's british passport or we have to get the baby naturalised first.
Any help on the above will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

When either parent has ILR - Registration as British at discretion (no entitlement). In other words, nothing!alpharulez wrote:What happens if he/she is born abroad and both the parents have ILR?
