Hello Guys,

I finally got approved as well. My timeline is as follows:

Application sent: 01 April 2010
Application received: 03 April 2010
Fees: postal orders encashed on 8th April
Visa issued: 28 April valid for 3 years
Passport received: 07 May 2010 (more than a week later!)

Many thanks for all your kind support and advise.

I was refused in the past due to insufficiency of maintenance fund, went through the appeal and then finally got my psw visa last year. Despite this, i was still approved! I also had replacement bank statements for Aug, Sep and Oct 2009 with the bank's logo, stamp and signature. So, good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

Congrats!!
I had filed for tier 1 through permium appointment (in-person) on 7th, however the case worker could not reach decision on the same day. They retained my documents and sent them via post to Sheffield. The post reached sheffield on 9th hence 9th became the received date.

hope it is clear.

Hi All,

Application sent: 05 May 2010
Appln received : 06 may 2010
Date of payment collected : 12 May 2010 (HSBC debit card)
In country application switching from Tier 2 (general)
No acknowledgment received

when is the estimated time to receive back my passport/reply?

the website says - ''During the week commencing 10 May 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 23 April 2010. This timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.''

I want to resign from my job and go back home for 2 months.
I am considering resigning next week (18 May 2010) and have 1 months notice period to serve. Is it advisable to resign on 18 May cos if i do not get my passport in one months time then i will be in the UK without a job and salary.

Pls help and suggest the best time to resign.. i cannot do this job anymore.

also is my application in consideration or it will be looked at after 2 weeks based on the website???

Thanks
Cooldude

The current schedule suggests that your application would be processed during the week commencing 24th May - so if your case is straight forward you should get your passports etc back during the week of May 31st......BUT you really cant rely completely on these timelines...

Payments are deducted as soon as they receive the application, but that doesnt necessarily mean that they are processing your application.

Do not resign untill you get your passport back. The timeline on the website is not same for everybody. If your case is delayed by some reason and goes for verfication to your employer later, it can be problem for you.

There is no normal average time frame for recieving the passport back in the Tier1 application with in the UK. I have been waiting for my docs back since last three months. As i applied in 28th January 2010 and have got acknowldgment letter and since then no communication. I do not know what the are upto and what they are trying to verify? Since i have been the oldest applicant on this thread, many of people came after me and got approved with in month but few of them had to wait for 2 or 3 months to get thier docs back. One of the guy waited 4 months untill his Tier1 was approved. So i am keeping my finger crossed to see something for me in coming days as well.
Do not rely on the web site because their service sucks... Cheers

Hi Friend, It seems that you have been waiting more than 14 weeks which is maximum period, after this you can file a complain which they need to reply. I think you should file and see what is the problem with your application. best of luck
